XFO 7 A HUGE SUCCESS,
LEAVING TEAM CURRAN 3-0 FOR THE NIGHT!

Aug 27, 2005 Island Lake, IL

The X-treme Fighting Organization (XFO) is being considered the fastest growing and is the most successful Mixed Martial Arts event in the midwest today. The XFO fight cards are un-matched these days as there is always UFC veterans, current Champions, Top Contenders and the very best of the upcoming amateur level fighters in the United States today.

Featured from Team Curran on the most recent edition of XFO, # 7, was 3 of Jeff Curran and coach Doug Mango's top fighters. 3 of the 13 bouts for the evening were headed by these 3 stand-outs. First up for the night for Team Curran was Matt "Sunshine" Fiordirosa. Matt, now 2-0, won with a second left in the 2nd round via TKO. Matt fought Nick Wright in a 100% dominating performance of takedowns, ground and pound action and total control. Next up was 17 year old Russ Janca. Russ, now a senior in high school, stepped in to try and up his record to 2-0 as well. He did just that with a devastating KO victory that took place the first 12 seconds of round one. Next was up in a featured professional bout was Bartimus. Bartimus stepped up to fight Brandon Bledsoe, who ended up a no-show, leaving the promoters to fill a spot with an anxious and game replacement, Josh Koon. Josh came out begging for takedowns as Bart shut him down time after time. Finally, at about 45 seconds of round one, Bart threw a left hook that left Koon out on the canvas.
