Adam Miller   Date of Birth:  Height:  5' 8" Weight:  170lbs Nickname:  Padre     Experience: Training with Team Curran since 1993, Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Black Belt in Judo, Black Belt in Hapkido, Black Belt in Classical Jiu-Jitsu.     Goals: I would like to see “Jiu-Jitsu for the masses” so that everyone, regardless of age, gender, or social background could benefit from the physical and moral training of Jiu-Jitsu.     Titles &  Accomplishments: I am a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and a full-time pastor. My first wedding was Jeff and Sarah Curran’s; my first wedding mis-step was also Jeff and Sarah’s when I blended Jeff and Sarah together and called her “Jera.” Well, the Bible does say, “That the two might be one flesh.”     Hobbies: Cooking Asian/Italian fusion for my family and friends.     Inspirations: I’m really inspired by the writing of C.S. Lewis and John Piper. “Life is either worship or blasphemy!”     Teaching Philosophy: The basics are like karma—in the end you will reap what you sow.     Training Philosophy:     Most memorable  martial arts moment  to date? Watching Rickson Gracie effortlessly make the multitudes say “Uncle!” in his first Chicago seminar.  I’m blessed that I was there to train and see it. He taught and tapped everyone with nothing but the basics! I really caught the beauty of Jiu-Jitsu at this seminar.
